“Another Fucking Blog?”

Yeah, I get it. What’s the point, right? Well, maybe there is none. Maybe I don’t have anything new to say. Maybe this will go unread, haunting the corners of the web, muddying Google searches for Rorschach’s “My Mind’s in a Vice” until the internet finally becomes fully unusable. (Which should be any day now.) But maybe the “point” is that there’s something here for everyone.

I’ve had many, many interests-turned-hobbies in the past: poetry, beer, wine, tea, miniature painting, wargaming, and hardcore music, just to name a few. I’ve realized over the years that what I love most about my hobbies are: 1) bonding with folks over similar (and contrasting) tastes and creating community, and 2) demystifying concepts and making inaccessible things accessible. I love learning and developing new skills, and mostly I love to help others do the same.

So that’s what this blog will be: love letters to my hobbies and the friends I’ve bonded over them with. There’ll be interviews, reviews, tutorials, rants, and plenty of other goofy, nerdy shit. Enjoy! Or don’t!
